This is an annual event that brings together student from all the different counties in Kenya, with a sole purpose of equipping them to become a generation of role model Christians with godly values.
The 2017 National Students Convention and Christian teachers & Associates convention will be held in Kilifi County at KIlifi Township Secondary School, between 10th and 16th April, 2017. The charges are 2000/= for the students and 3000/= for the Christian Teachers & Associates. We have produced proforma to help the students raise the convention charges.
THE 2016 KSCF STUDENT LEADERS NATIONAL CONVENTION AND CHRISTIAN TEACHERS CONFERENCE REPORT
This year’s convention saw a paradigm shift in that we focused on training and equipping students with the aim of enabling them to impact their peers. This was in line with the strategic direction we are taking as a ministry of equipping students to transform their world. The convention brought together 3,923 students and 440 associates/teachers from 1,205 schools. Those who have just completed high schools and are waiting to join college also known as Kenya Ex Secondary Students Associates Team (KESSAT) were 76 and 28 Sunday school children. The convention was held at Chogoria Hirls High School in Tharaka Nithi County from 11th to 17th April, 2016. The official opening ceremony was graced by the County Director of Education, Tharaka Nithi, Ms. Jane W. Njogu who represented the PS-Ministry of Education Dr. Belio Kipsang, the TSC County Director, Mr. Paul Okello, Tharaka Nithi County representing TSC CEO, Ms. Nancy Macharia alongside the principals of the hosting schools, pastors and church leaders led by Rev. Githiora Simon, The National PCEA Youth Director. There was tremendous improvement in attendance of both the students and teachers registering 15% and 32% increase respectively compared to 2015. We also registered 17% increment in the number of schools in attendance as compared to last year records.
